Pair of 19th century Louis XVI style arm chairs
This is a pair of gilded Louis XVI style armchairs, upholstered in their original Aubusson tapestry. The upholstery is in a decorative theme of birds, and animals surrounded with foliage and swags. The gilding is in excellent condition, and the coverings have been removed strengthened and re-installed. The overall condition of this pair of chairs is very good, there is however wear to the upholstery which is to be expected. They date from the Napoleon III period; a matching settee is also available.
