This fine table lamp was made from a Royal Vienna style urn. The whole piece is decorated in vibrant red, green, white, and gilt. The cartouches are decorated in a combination of transfer and hand painting in neoclassical style: the image is depicting the Judgement of Paris and is marked: Kaufmann (after Angelika Kaufmann 1741-1807) The condition is excellent, with the gilding in nearly perfect condition. The lamp base dates from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
